Center Pompidou Mobile

The Centre Pompidou Mobile, the first itinerant museum, offers a unique experience of cultural decentralization and is designed for those who are not used to visiting museums.

Conceived by Patrick Bouchain in the spirit of a traveling circus, with a light, demountable and easily transportable structure, the Mobile Pompidou Center dares to present masterpieces of modern and contemporary art (Pablo Picasso, Sonia Delaunay, Olafur Eliasson...).

Stages of the nomadic museum's "journey": 2011 - Chaumont en Haute-Marne; 2012 - Cambrai, Boulogne-sur-Mer, Libourne; 2013 - Le Havre, Nantes. It is open 6 days a week and admission is free.
