GARA Filaret - Urban meadow

The urban meadow is synonymous with the unification of the space adjacent to the elevated street arc by flooding the area with vegetation.

At the city level, the idea of progress implements a new concept. The evolution is realized by updating the architectural vocabulary. Thus, the Urban Meadow concept refers to a new architectural typology that aims to include and unify the site's neighborhoods with the architectural project.

By definition, the meadow is a place covered with small thick grass used for grazing. It refers to tradition, it goes back in time to reawaken memories, to transport you into that clear, open space where you feel you are free of inhibitions - reborn. No matter when it is used, it takes you back to nature, taking you through all three stages of the state of the grass, illustrating a cycle: Meadow Meadow, Hay Meadow and Snow Meadow.

Situated at the intersection of Constantin Istrati and Cuțitul de Argint streets, positioned on one of the highest hills in Bucharest, the PAJIȘTEA becomes a closing space for Carol Park. It houses various functions serving the adjacent urban fabric.

The facades enclosing the perimeter of the site are elegantly and functionally transformed into barriers against urban noise. Thus the meadow becomes a space for contemplation, relaxation, serving the residential area and the Carol Park, improving the quality of life of the inhabitants.
