The diploma project "Recovery and recreation center in Fântânele resort" pursues a tourism development strategy, both as a personal proposal and as a starting point of the local development plan still in its infancy. The resort is still in its operational, approved and with prospects for development and revitalization. Several slopes have been laid out in the area, and the ascent and descent facility will soon be inaugurated, so we already have a tourist attraction.
The re-launch would involve a restructuring of the concept of the "leisure resort" to which we have added a recovery component, especially because it is frequented by national teams of athletes who would like to have better conditions than the existing ones. Thus, the project aims to be configured and developed as a modern complex, capable of bringing together three main aspects: rest, relaxation and physical activity, satisfying new requirements and demands at a high level. In addition to this, a series of mountain trails, children's playgrounds/playgrounds, non-polluting water activities are proposed, thus reaching a population and age range as wide as possible.
The current trend is towards a fusion of tourist services aimed at a segment of customers who require such resorts to overcome fatigue and stress and who want physical and mental recovery, to disconnect, to relax and recreate in a suitable environment, while also benefiting from treatment and medical recovery.
The current context is not particularly favorable, but on the contrary, it is devalued, with many of the existing buildings in disrepair. Neighborhoods are either private properties - cottages, or small hostels - 10-20 people. The land is on a steep slope, the difference in elevation from the road to the flood level of the lake is 35 meters.
The project proposes a revitalization of the area through a center capable of redeveloping and satisfying a wide range of requirements related to the functions and facilities of a mountain resort. Spread over an area of more than 10,000 square meters, with a volumetry specific to the slope and the site, the new sports and relaxation center will be able to represent a real attraction for recovery, relaxation and rest.
