The Bucharest that was no more
13.08.2025
The Union of Architects of Romania, in partnership with the Ion Mincu University of Architecture and Urbanism and the Mindcraft Stories platform, is launching the cultural project "Bucharest that was no more," co-financed by the Bucharest City Hall through ARCUB, as part of the "Bucharest. Together" 2025 Program.
The project proposes a visual, critical, and narrative exploration of Bucharest through the artistic reconstruction of architectural projects with symbolic value for the city, but which were never realized. The approach combines architectural research, visual storytelling, and civic dialogue, offering the public a new perspective on recent history and untapped urban potential.
Between August and October 2025, the project will document and visualize a selection of relevant architectural projects, in collaboration with renowned architects, researchers, and specialists in the field. The results of the research will be presented to the public in October–November through a series of cultural events, including a traveling multimedia exhibition, video screenings, a public debate, and digital materials disseminated online.
The exact dates and locations of the public events will be announced in the coming period on:
- the project's Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61578851902696
