TRANSMISSION – A MAJOR CHALLENGE FOR THE FUTURE OF THE SECTOR
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the International Heritage Show. It has been present on the international fair scene for 20 years, and the number of exhibitors and visitors has been rising steadily, despite the difficult economic context. The show is as dynamic as the heritage sector itself, which has addressed economic and social challenges and has inspired the theme of this anniversary edition of the show : transmission.
The number of exhibitors has increased by 22% since 2011 and the number of visitors by 10%. This year, the annual venue for heritage professionals will once again bring together 330 exhibitors from over 40 different professions (restorers, raw material suppliers, heritage preservation associations, built heritage companies, schools offering restoration courses, auction houses, etc.).
Exhibitors from worldwide will be represented in the show; countries as Germany, China, Korea, Spain, Japan, Canada, Switzerland, Taiwan, and as a newcomer, Russia.
On the occasion of its 20th anniversary, the show will celebrate transmission with a special program : conferences by experts in the field, public demonstrations of heritage-related skills, award ceremonies, films on transmission throughout the ages and in different cultures, etc.
