Cluj / Norma
NORMA is a collaboration between two young architects from Cluj, Eszter Péter and Alexandru Fleșeriu. We chose this name because we are fascinated by the intellectual evidence of the natural things we manage to discover around us.
These natural things emanate a spirit of their own, which we constantly seek and reformulate in our design work. After looking back on our first projects, we have chosen to call NORMA products "immediate design". The solutions were found by trying to respond as directly as possible to the problems of each competition and by simplifying the theoretical discourse as much as possible. i-immediate design refers to the synthesized and immediate nature of the results.

Cable collection
The Cable Collection is the winning project of the "Design Better Garbage" competition. It is, in essence, a family of lighting fixtures in which the electric cable is the motif of the objects. We chose this material because it is the recognizable element of electrical products regardless of design. In this form, it gives objects unexpected qualities. In addition to directed light, it also provides a diffused light that creates an interesting atmosphere in the space. In the event of shocks, for example if the lamp falls from a desk or bedside table, the cord gives the object a balance between flexibility and rigidity that protects the bulb. Their formal design is recognizable, so they become easy to relate to the user, which makes them pleasant in everyday use.
The profile of the NORMA group is defined by a consistent search for essence, in an effort to simplify theoretical discourse. This purification is evident both in the design objects conceived and in the +/- cultural projects.
NORMA creations exude a relaxed, playful, unmistakable atmosphere.
Intelligent design mediated between the diversity of reality and the obviousness of the object becomes "i-mediate" design - simple, essential, charming. NORMA is not afraid of chaos; for NORMA the multiplicity of the world is a fascinating collection of working motifs.
+/- Galați - Profile Galați
"Profil Galați" is an urban revitalization proposal that received 2nd place in the public vote at the PlusminusGalați event. In the initial phase, the +/-Galați project proposed the identification and public presentation of problem areas and areas with potential in Galați - a city that is too little known for its urban landscape and architectural-urban resources. This created the ground for stimulating visions of the city's development, expressed in a competition of ideas. The aim was to raise the awareness of policy makers and the local community of the consequences that coherent urban planning could have on economic, social and housing development. "Profil Galați" proposes a strategy for the development of the industrial-port identity specific to the Danube bank in relation to the city, in a "Learning by Doing" manner. The proposal identifies possible focal points for the organization of small events at the beginning, which grow with the experience and financial strength gained from their integration, resumption and development from year to year. These events will gradually transform the Danube bank in Galati into an attractive destination for investment and tourism.
