Downshifting Romanian Way - Green House

Most of the buildings in which we live and work are devoid of "soul" and have a harmful impact on the environment and health. There's a real need for a different kind of architecture: whether it's called Green, Alternative, Ecological, Earth or Organic.

In the context of a consumer society, with a fast-paced city life, trying to eat healthy (organic), treating ourselves alternatively and wanting to live in houses made of natural materials, there is this growing demand for an architecture that is friendly, gentle, close to nature, respectful of the environment, an architecture that is also part of this quest for a healthy way of life.

Thus was born the Casa-Verde ecological experiment, located on the right bank of the Nerei, at the exit of the gorge, opposite the village of Sasca Română, Caras-Severin county. At the beginning it was just a personal wish, a summer game for my soul that happened to resonate with a lot of people. (...)
