Starting with this year's edition, DIPLOMA becomes a national festival!

Diploma, the largest event dedicated to graduates of creative faculties, a project initiated by The Institute and inspired by UniCredit Bank, will take place this year from October 5 to 14 and will showcase, for the first time, the best work of graduates from all vocational faculties in the country.
Until July 25, graduates interested in participating in the event can register their diploma thesis for free at www.institute.ro, and the best projects will be exhibited, presented and promoted at this year's edition of the festival from October 05-14, 2018 in Bucharest.
More details about the call for projects can be found here.
The events, formats and exhibitions of the Diploma festival aim to generate a dialog between young graduates and senior professionals in the creative industries, as well as to present the freshest names to an audience interested in art and creativity.
"Now in its fifth edition this year, the DIPLOMA project has already marked the debut of four generations of artists and shows us that the young generation is very talented, but also needs support and a context in which to display and develop their ideas. This year we have decided to extend the DIPLOMA platform to the national level, out of the desire to create a favorable context for dialogue between disciplines, between universities and cities, but also out of the conviction that this project can make a real contribution to supporting the young generation of Romanian artists and creatives and to the development of these industries and sectors in Romania in the medium and long term", said Andrei Borțun- CEO of The Institute.
DIPLOMA 2018 will showcase the best graduation works of the next generation of young artists and creatives, graduates of all vocational-creative faculties in Romania, selected by a creative board of over 20 established professionals: curators, cultural managers, gallerists, architects, designers, directors, TV producers. The selection will be made following a call for projects, which runs until July 25 and which you can find out more about here.
This year's 10-day festival program will include exhibitions dedicated to Fine and Applied Arts, as well as a series of meetings to encourage dialogue between the young generation and potential collaborators or partners of budding creatives. These will be complemented by auditions and performing arts events.
Diploma will showcase the new generation of Romanian creatives alongside TASTEMakers, Absolut and Rompetrol.
