On October 30-31 will take place the international conference 20 Interior Architectural Experiences, part of the cultural project 20 Interior Architectural Experiences realized by the University of Architecture and Urbanism "Ion Mincu" - Faculty of Interior Architecture.
The cultural project is an opportunity in the context of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Faculty of Interior Architecture and proposes a creative presentation of the interior architecture profession and a cultural networking, connecting Romanian and foreign students and graduates in a dialog with professionals in the field.
The conference will bring together academics, professionals and institutions from home and abroad to debate the new paradigm of architecture, urbanism and design in an interdisciplinary and interconnected perspective.

Sections:
Architectural Education
Architectural education is a flexible but complex field of study, therefore defining its boundaries and methods is a challenge for both academics and researchers.
Topics: curriculum roles, challenges of artificial intelligence (AI), teaching methodologies, trends in the architectural profession and interdisciplinarity.
Perception and architecture
Space can be decoded through the senses, generating connections between human beings, their needs, their uses and the built environment, therefore research on this topic is indispensable.
Topics: universal design, healing architecture, the use of the senses in understanding architecture, arguments about bio-architecture (well-being, biophilia, eco-design, etc.) and a cultural approach to sustainability.
Techniques and technology in architecture
This section encourages discussion of the threats and opportunities arising from the rapid development of applied technology in building design.
Topics: smart cities, urban resilience, the limits of technology in architecture, architectural vulnerabilities, architecture at risk and the importance of applied technology in building design (sustainability, circular economy concepts, BIM technologies, VR and digitization, etc.), technical details integration.
Historical monuments and traces
Given that built heritage is at risk due to a lack of knowledge leading to a lack of interest in conservation, this section aims to highlight studies, research and design projects that aim to both regenerate and reclaim the urban fabric and identity of place.
Topics: archaeological remains, heritage, missing artifacts, traces of war, reuse, restoration and conservation, urban archaeology, archaeological risk diagrams, landscape heritage, urban transformations.
Re-imagining design
Design has always been a complex phenomenon at the intersection of art, engineering and architecture, constantly highlighting the need for the profession to redefine itself.
Topics: design interdisciplinarity, design history, product and industrial design, graphic design, design methodologies, design thinking, social innovation through design, democratic design, human-centered design, universal design, inclusive design, BIM modeling, GIS.

The lectures will be complemented and complemented by round table discussions organized during the 2 days of the conference.
In addition to these, a series of work-in-progress workshops will take place during the conference: workshop on the production of biomaterials from coffee grounds with professors from the University of Turin, workshop on lighting and the creation of an exhibition module, etc. exhibitions are organized: Seismograf presented by the Museum of the Horrors of Communism, 20 FAI- the anniversary exhibition of the Faculty of Interior Architecture and Re-design- the exhibition of the design department of the Faculty of Interior Architecture.
