Lilly Reich Grant for Equality in Architecture

25.07.2024
In conceiving and developing its activities, the Fundació Mies van der Rohe aims to generate research and debate on modern and contemporary architecture in a paradigm-shifting manner, and in particular on concepts that are fundamental today, such as identity, social inclusion and all elements of sustainability.
In recognition of the architectural legacy of Lilly Reich, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe's artistic partner in the design and execution of the German Pavilion in Barcelona in 1929, relegated to a secondary, if not non-existent, place in the history and memory of this masterpiece of architectural history, the Fundació Mies van der Rohe has established the Lilly Reich Grant for Equality in Architecture.
The grant promotes the study, dissemination and visibility of contributions in architecture that have been unduly unrecognized or forgotten, professionals who have suffered discrimination. The grant also seeks to promote access to equal opportunities in the practice of architecture.
