Romanian Pavilion at the UIA Congress - Tokyo 2011

The UIA Tokyo International Congress took place from September 25 to October 1, 2011. The main theme of the congress was DESIGN 2050 - "Architects acting in solidarity beyond disasters towards sustainable development". In this context, the Romanian Order of Architects organized, from 27 May to 25 July, the concept and design competition for the Romanian pavilion in Tokyo, with the theme "Decalogue of a responsible and responsive architecture 2050". First prize was awarded to the team composed of: arch. Bogdan Pop (curator), arh. Astrid Rottman-ASDESIGN 95, arh. Marius Urzică - LEED AP, arh. int. Lidia Stoica and stud.-arh. Cassandra Pop.
The International Congress of UIA took place in Tokyo from 25th of September to 1st of October. The congress's main theme was DESIGN 2050 - "Architects acting, through solidarity, away from heritage towards sustainable development". In this context, from 27th May to July 25th, the Romanian Order of Architects set a contest for the Romanian pavilion concept and design having the theme " 2050 a responsible and responsive architecture". The winning prize was conferred to the team consisting in: arch. Bogdan Pop (curator), arch. Astrid Rottman -ASDESIGN 95, arch. Marius Urzică - LEED AP, int. arch. Lidia Stoica and stud. arch. Cassandra Pop.
