ALTFEL - 2025 National Architecture Biennial

ARHITECTURA magazine no. 5–6/2025 is a special issue dedicated to the 16th National Architecture Biennial 2025, with the theme "ALTFEL" (DIFFERENT). The volume follows the Biennial as a travel journal through nine cities in the country, from the launch at ARCUB in Bucharest to the galas in Constanța, Sibiu, Timișoara, Sighetu Marmației, Târgu Mureș, Târgoviște, Cluj-Napoca, and Iași, where over 100 projects entered in 19 sections were awarded prizes. Readers will find individual and collective housing, schools, hospitals, and community projects, exhibitions, public spaces, rural revitalization, summer schools and craft workshops, ephemeral architecture, photography, architectural film, publications, and visionary projects that discuss the cities, villages, and landscapes of today's Romania. It is not a magazine reserved only for professionals, but a map of ideas and stories for anyone curious to understand how the places we live in are changing: readers interested in cities, heritage, nature, education, film, and photography; students, teachers, people in culture and administration; or simply those who want to see Romania built differently.
