The project proposes to solve a problem of the blocks of flats built during the communist period, the staircase houses with no natural lighting. In the 70s and 80s, collective housing neighborhoods were massively built, and the design of these blocks favored economy and speed of construction over comfort, aesthetics and functionality.
The stairwells in these blocks are spaces that people come into contact with every day. At the moment, the stairwell is a residual, negative space through which we have to pass from the first thing in the morning until the last hour of the day. The stairwell is the only common space in the block of flats where tenants come into contact.
The idea aims to improve social and human-space relations, the quality of the environment has the potential to directly influence the inner state of the human being. The introduction of natural light into this space has the potential to solve these problems.
The proposed solution consists of two devices: one indoor and one outdoor.
