Ideas competition for the Livada Poștei Park, Brasov

At the beginning of April, the Romanian Order of Architects announced the finalists of the first phase of the ideas competition organized for the Livada Poștei Park in Brasov. Eight out of the 108 projects entered were selected. The results of the second phase of the competition will be announced on May 23. The competition aims to select the best proposals for the creation of a sustainable contemporary park with its own identity, a center of interest in the city, coherently articulated in Brasov's green system.

In the second phase of the competition, the competitors will detail their proposals. The project that wins first place will be implemented. In addition, the following prizes will be awarded: first prize - 5000 euro, second prize - 2500 euro, third prize - 1000 euro. The competition was initiated by Schaeffler Romania, an industrial company, in partnership with the Municipality of Brasov. The jury was composed of: dir. gen. Alexandru Blemovici, representative Schaeffler Romania, arch. Răzvan Dracea, arh. Kim Attila, arh. Dorin Ștefan, arh. Edmund Olsefszky, eng. Cerasela Muntean. Organizer: Romanian Order of Architects. The investment will be undertaken by the company together with other private investors. The Livada Poștei Park has an area of 2.7 ha and is located in the vicinity of the historic center.
