Mihnea Mihalache-Fiastru (1982-2025) was a writer, publicist, photographer and, above all, a great bucureștiolog. His name will always be associated with Bucharest, not only because he was born and lived here, but also because, in his way of being and in what he did, he let the city live through him.

In Technology of Universal Exposure (frACTalia, 2018, Dezarticulat, 2021) he explored the world of the first universal shops in Bucharest, in Expres (Curtea Veche, 2019) he collected oral histories/rumors and built stories around them, and in Șpec (Dezarticulat, 2022) he spoke to us beautifully and openly about the harphs and phonphs of the force press in the years of transition and the beginning of the millennium. He made online miniseries about Bucharest's swimming pools, barbecue spots and urban legends (which were on view at a retrospective organized in April by the One World Romania folks).
