"Form following Fiction"

Start up Chartres

Mirel belongs to the rarer category (just like Claudiu Toma, belonging to the same generation) of those who are excessively talented at drawing and very close to the visual arts.

As a student, as I remember him, he used to draw in the dark both what he was asked to do at university and many other things: characters, fiction, etc.
In the early 2000s he also established himself in the field of photographic art and not by chance, in parallel with his passion for architecture, in 2013, he developed the cultural magazine of illustrations and graphic narratives "TDB/Therapie de fairy tale" and held animation workshops at the CATA festival, after, about 10 years before, she had held graphic and illustration workshops at the French Cultural Center in Timisoara and, before that, she had participated in international graphic and comic exhibitions (1997 - she won the Grand Prize at the BD Brasov '97 festival and the third prize at BD Constanta 2001).

Ecole Mainteon

Also in the early 2000s, as a student-architect, Mirel was awarded in the competition launched by the OAR (on the occasion of the UIA Congress in Berlin) with the theme "Architecture as a Resource". After finishing his studies, he followed a series of internships in France, the United States and in Radu Mihăilescu's team, which proved very useful in his training as an architect, and his collaborations with French colleagues continue to this day. I would mention the 2013-2014 project of an invitational competition for Start Up Offices in the north of Paris, with an extremely elegant solution. All these years, Mirel has remained faithful to his hometown, Sebeș. In 2004, he made a name for himself with two projects, winning two prizes - one in the "Romanian Contemporary Project" competition launched by De Arhitectură magazine on the occasion of the 2004 Architecture Days and 2nd prize in the competition launched by the Cluj City Hall on the theme "Consolidation and Protection of the Archaeological Site of Unirii Square".
