Looking at the world through the lens
I am more subjective about Ovidiu. We've been working together for more than 10 years, we share the same passion for photography and, to a large extent, similar tastes in music, architecture, etc.
When we had a hard time, he stuck with us. When he was unhappy, he did not shrink from warning us. Two works remain references of our collaboration: Casa Harmonia, Timisoara - completed in 2010 and Re(re)functionalization of Badea Cârțan Square in Timisoara 2012, both works nominated and awarded.
Since 2002, Ovidiu has opened his own firm, ADMO STUDIO, realizing professional architectural photography and various other projects.
Recently, Ovidiu, working in our firm, added a beautiful living room pavilion to a house that I had also renovated in the late 1990s, creating a greened atrium and a massive stone exterior shell. Ovidiu's proposed pavilion turned out to be a continuation, a successful take over, in contrast to what I had done before, an open and generous device towards the garden and pool, attracting the attention of the international jury of the Timisoara Euroregional Biennale of Architecture - BETA, last year (nomination). The same jury awarded a Mention at the same event in the section Initiatives/Experiments/Visions - "Mina de Idei Anina (#MdIA)" - Ovidiu being co-author with Oana Țiganea, Gabriela Pașcu, Marius Barbieri.

Ionescu house Timișoara" 2018 - Mention Timișoara Biennial of Architecture BETA 2018 - Mina de Idei Anina (#MdIA) - collective
Also last year, MINA DE IDEI ANINA won the Award at the National Biennale of Architecture 2018 - Architecture Event and Street as a Stage section. In other words, it is a distinct side of Ovidiu's activities related to his passion for photography and more than that.
His passion and talent in this direction have resulted in a remarkable doctoral thesis, which he defended this year, on the subject of architectural photography and countless awards, his propulsion among the most appreciated Romanian architectural photographers, his presence in the volume "12 Architectural Photographers from Romania", published last year by IGLOO Publishing House.
Versatile, a traveler between Cuba and Kashmir, a great lover of nature and mountain hiking, aware of the importance of not being overwhelmed by the speed of the times, Ovidiu has slowly but surely become one of the most respected young architects in Timișoara.
An important part of his work is also his teaching, working in the Design Workshop classes in years 1 and 5 and, since last year, in year 3, where we have put together a great team.
Since last year we have been working together on the Radisson Blu Hotel project, within the ISHO Timisoara complex. We hope to pass this exam with flying colors.
