Contemporary language for rural areas
Irina was my student, starting with the second year. Later, I supervised her diploma and worked closely with her at Arhipera. So I had the opportunity to follow her professional development and I can say that I like very much what I see in her now. Since university, Irina has been looking for new means of expression, she has had an innovative and personal approach. At graduation, she revitalized a village in Făgăraș with a fresh architecture, generated by the spirit of the place. She continued the study of traditional architecture in order to understand how we can make new architecture without destroying the old one and actively worked on three "Architectural guides for the local specificity of rural areas" for Gorj, Vâlcea and Țara Loviștei.
The projects he has worked on to illustrate these guides speak of a sensitive understanding of the refinement of traditional forms and the attempt to reconfigure them into a contemporary architectural language, current and capable of supporting large architectural programs, unprecedented in the village.

"Irina is an original and insistent person who is not easy to get rid of, especially when it comes to realizing bold, creative and experimental (architectural) projects that bring a gain to the community."
