"What would the architectural profession look like if,
without the sacrifice, the wall of the Master Mable would have stood?"

We sit down for tea, and in a second he tells me offhandedly: "In my childhood homes, the pantry was my favorite place. By the way, they led to the attic, where I also spent a lot of time. Do you remember - concentrated beams of light, contrasts, warmth or the sound of raindrops, peculiar smells and the ubiquitous dust film, hundreds of historical pictures of grandparents and syrupy chanson tunes from a tireless gramophone. An unreachable world because you were always tactilely separated from it by the dust film on your finger."

With no website and no business card, immersed in groups of architects with the most demanding approaches, present in contemporary local architecture with small or large-scale works, Macalik develops themes of media architecture, telecommunications, offices, sacral, sacred, housing, heritage restoration, urban rehabilitation. He is a "character" whose main challenge is the search and who, in turn, is searched by the most varied challenges. Lacking a mentor in his emergence, he remained self-taught through friends, DIY, reading, music and nature.

He has the richest connections to the LOC through the bilingual character of the architectural workshops he participated in, through his children, through his heritage, responsibilities and visions. In the work of the groups of which he is a part, the living invoice of intrinsic nature, the angelic behavior of the environment, the poetics of the themes and objects addressed, all of which maintain a particular fever that always shows itself in the making.
"Is the act of creation one that shows itself outside the limits of earthly life?"
"Can this be the reason why all the truly touched are charmed for life?"
"If without sacrifice the wall of the Master Craftsman or the wall of Kőműves Kelemen had stood, then what would the profession of architecture look like today?"
These are just a few of the haunting themes of Macalik Arnold, the man who swings architecture in his soul by denying the existence of time and space.
His personality clearly illustrates that origins are defining and at the basis of our relationship to the creature (somewhat in the sense of liberation as well as in the sense of limitation of this relationship). In this sense I consider him a favored by fate, having benefited from an early age from the chance to assimilate both the rural and the urban environments and thus experiencing a richness of perceptions through which the whole world is reflected to him as a unitary whole. I hope that this state of being will remain with him throughout his development.
