The "School of Architecture" represents, for me, the place where young people whose professional choice is taken. It is where creativity is exercised and, through knowledge, innovation.
In my long career as a teacher, there have been and still are young people - whose development I have followed carefully and with confidence - who have marked their generation by the results they have achieved, but above all by the novelty they have brought to the scientific field, adapted to the current dynamics of the field of architecture.
Not easily, with much effort and passion, Vlad Eftenie manages to introduce a new line of study - "Methodical approach to architectural photography - conceptualized and understood as a complex tool in the study of space". Not at all easy, because empirically photography is within everyone's reach, hard to convince that, especially in today's architectural practice and theory, the professional gesture enriches its methodological tools to a new level of understanding.

Vlad Eftenie studied a semester in the second year and then the fifth year at EALR Montpellier, France, After graduating in 2003, he attended the Franco-Romanian Master's Degree in Integrated Urban Development, which he graduated in 2005. His doctoral studies in urbanism (coordinator - Professor A. M. Sandu) structured the conceptual foundation of the study of the built space in the image plane, which is the first research work in architecture that scientifically problematizes this topic, 2009.

His tireless passion, the prestigious awards obtained in national urban photography competitions - CBRE Urban Photographer of the Year, 2011; First Prize in the Open Low Light section of the Sony World Photography Awards, 2014 - certify his unquestionable authority in the field, which is reflected in the course he was supported to initiate. Together with his equally enthusiastic and interested students, Vlad is 'building' a new way of understanding space.

Vlad is relentless in "opening up", both professionally and publicly, through a new and "permeable" understanding, the City and the way of looking at and inhabiting it. Conferences, workshops and urban photography workshops initiated and held in cities across the country; contributor to Radio Romania Cultural's "Orașul vorbește" column since 2016. He is included in the "Forbes Heroes" gallery by the publication "Forbes Romania", 2016.
Vlad is author and co-author of numerous urban and architectural photography exhibitions in the country and abroad. Romanian representative in the EuroArt Photo exhibition, organized by Ufficio Stampa, Milan and Rome, 2014, 2015.
Since 2003 he has been working, in parallel with his teaching activity, at the Baumarcproiect Architecture Workshop.
I put Vlad Eftenie's presentation under the sign of "Trust". I believe in exceptional quality, evolution and innovation.
