Borsec, the resort at the gate of the Mineral Water Road

The decline in the years after 1989 is due both to the economic regression (and within it, mainly in the local tourism sector) generalized on a national level, and to its specific economic profile (economic structure with economic branches affected on a national level: mining, tourism), its small size and its geographical position, of relative isolation and reduced accessibility. The direct, factual result of these unfortunate decades was the loss of its status as a resort of national interest at the beginning of the last decade. In such a context we arrived with projects in the late 2000s at Borsec, then a resort in semi-paragina1.
