I started my way in the design world by studying Architecture in Bucharest and spent 9 years learning the "craft", years that took me from Bucharest to Ljubljana (SLO) and then to Eindhoven and Amsterdam (NL). My first attempt to gain experience coincided with my temporary move to Amsterdam, where I didn't know anyone and felt quite lonely. It had been my ambition to do an internship in an architecture office for little money. I could barely afford the rent, skipping dinner almost every night. My only entertainment was going to the park (when it wasn't raining) and drinking wine made by my grandparents from stemmed glasses brought from home. This ritual became my luxury, and one evening, after too much wine spilled because the glass wasn't stable in the grass, I thought I could really use a glass that would stick in the ground.
