Wine is us

It must have been a late fall day when, somewhere towards the end of the working day, I receive a phone call from Adalbert Marton, a childhood friend. Glad to hear his voice on the other end, I greet him with a warm "- How are the Germans?", which is the even friendlier version of his old nickname of Neamțu - well deserved, incidentally, because of his slightly Teutonic presence. Adalbert tells me that he has just returned to the country after nearly 16 years of living and working in Italy, where he learned the art of winemaking and gradually became a specialist oenologist. Learning that I had a design studio, Adalbert had called me with the intention of making him a simple wine label for the subtle coupage that was to open his very new concept AGAPE - Art & Nature, under which he was gradually building a novel vision. The coupage he wanted to dress up was called CabS - a gentle proportion between Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, as he explained
