The symphony of history, architecture and art

There are a few things that brighten my life: a trip to a new, special place, a conversation with a loved one or someone who stimulates me intellectually, a glass of good wine, a work of art, a good book. I have to admit that I have been pretty lucky and have had many special experiences over the last 30-35 years (yeah... not a few!). Memorable, however, are those moments when you find as much of what you really want, what you really enjoy.

More than 10 years ago, in the fall of 2013, a trip to Pamplona, Spain, from which I had not had very high expectations, turned out to be one of the most extraordinary events of my life.

First, I discovered a natural paradise where history and architecture blended in an almost unreal harmony: Bodega Otazu. Then I tasted a wine whose flavors astounded me, although I don't think I'm bragging if I say that I have some experience in tasting good wine.
