Aalborg Carnival

The Carnival in Aalborg, Denmark - the biggest in northern Europe - reached its climax on May 28, 2011, after a week of themed events, fancy dress and many liters of beer. The international parade at the end of the week attracted a huge influx of tourists from all over the world.
With the official parade, held on the Vestebro - the main axis of the Viking town, marked by its architecture clad in red brick - participating countries took the opportunity to raise interest in their various traditions and customs. Among countries such as France, the United States, Germany, Great Britain, Brazil, even Bulgaria - impeccably represented by traditional costumes and music, Romania was totally absent, despite the growing number of Romanians from the Nordic countries, and this unique opportunity to present a slice of Romanian culture to the world.
The event full of color, rhythm and good vibes ended late at night, after the awarding of the most interesting costumes, in an atmosphere where everyone spoke the same language: music.
