A river of stupidity

Romania, I love you

Romanians call it the Danubius, a river god, a stretch of water running through 10 states, a treasure around which more than a hundred million people now live. It starts in the Black Forest Mountains and after 2,850 km flows into the sea - a veritable highway on water, linking central Europe with the Black Sea. The Danube has always protected and fed us Romanians. We have the mouths of this river, which crosses 1 075 km of our territory; we could make the most of it: irrigate, trade, transport goods and attract tourists. Unfortunately, for more than twenty years, we have done little for the great river. That is why we called the Danube campaign "A River of Stupidity". We showed this story for three weeks on PRO TV news and in two editions of Romania, I love you! Three months we worked on this story, traveling hundreds of kilometers by boat on the Danube.
You can read the story of this journey, as it was written in the summer of 2017, in a 20-page article called "A river of stupidity" in the book "Romania, I love you", Humanitas Publishing House, 2018.
The movie series "Un fluviu de prostie I", "Un fluviu de prostie II", 2017 and the sequel "Romania, shipwreck on the Danube", 2022, is available on the YouTube channel - Romania, I love you!
