Adaptive reuse of noble residences through equestrian tourism

The project follows two complementary directions: the intervention on the existing historical structure - Haller Castle, Sânpaul - and its integration in a contemporary concept of landscape design, as well as the revitalization of the adjacent area through equestrian tourism. The intervention on the castle aims at preserving the current dilapidated structure and providing public access through a dedicated visitors' trail, in order to capitalize on the historical and cultural potential of the site. The landscape strategy proposes a succession of "plant rooms", each with distinct ecological identities, ranging from retention basins to planted areas dedicated to specific species.
