NODE - Gastronomy Center investigates how architecture can reintegrate a degraded site into community life. The project creates a social network, both physical and symbolic, that guides the project from the scale of the site to the details of the interior furnishings and reconnects the inhabitants through gastronomy, education and culture. The new metal structural system reinforces historic walls and generates new spaces. The materiality combines Profilit glass panels, micro-cement finishes and modular metal elements, retaining industrial expressiveness.
