The communist architecture in Romania, more specifically in the context of Bucharest, is a current topic, in continuous research, which raises a series of problems and questions both from a professional and human point of view. My interest in this topic, that of Communist Bucharest, began in the early years of my university studies, deepening my study in the last year by choosing the diploma project - "Baba Novac" Neighborhood Center. I wanted the site chosen for the diploma to be part of the Balta Albă district, and through my intervention to be able to offer its inhabitants, including myself, a public space and a point of interest that would revitalize the district.
