Dialogue between schools

The two categories of the National Biennale of Architecture, Diplomas - Emerging Architects and Architecture for Student Architects, reinforce my conviction that this event can contribute to building a dialog between schools. A necessary dialog that should overcome professional egos and the so normal differences between faculties. The 2025 edition has shown a growing interest in school projects and diplomas concerning interventions on the existing built environment, whether of heritage value or not, which may imply future discussions on certain professional concerns, but also changes to the curricula in faculties of architecture. More careful analysis of the context, resources, the impact of climate change, technology or legislative conditions and the determination of more rigid parameters in design topics should not be taken as barriers to the creativity of the student architect, but rather as a factor of adaptation to the reality of the profession and preparation for the difficult
