Polystyrene between walls

It all started on our professor's birthday. He presented us with his vision of the UAUIM exercise two, masonry - stone and brick, that we were about to start. His idea was to make models out of polystyrene blocks to make us, the students, aware of the effort involved in translating a line on a sheet of paper into a tangible space. The transition from the first analysis project, the study of spatial typologies on famous buildings, to the realization of our own proposals.

For each spatial typology: central, linear, portico, inner courtyard, hypostyle and cameral, the challenge was to create, in teams, representative models on a scale of 1:1. Within the 6 teams, several proposals were realized, submitted to the students' vote and the teachers' evaluation. In the end, each typology had a winning concept, which was then materialized.
