The village of Vlădești is located in the county of Galati in eastern Romania, on the banks of the Prut, a river that coincides with the border of the Republic of Moldova.

The area is characterized by poor economic development compared to the rest of the country, which is also reflected in the architecture, with predominantly small dwellings in compact, clearly delimited settlements. Most of the buildings in Vlădești have only one level, the ground floor, denoting low material possibilities and modest living conditions, but there are also two-storey buildings, such as institutions, buildings, outbuildings, and some dwelli
